| EventsHomecoming 2010  Date: October 09, 2010 The Nittany Lions will face the Fighting Illini in this year's 2010 Homecoming game. Kickoff begins at 12:00 PM! Will you be in Happy Valley this Homecoming? Share your travel and tailgate plans on the message board. Annual Acacia Alumni Day Date: October 16, 2010 Join us for the Annual Acacia Alumni Day! The event will begin with lunch at the chapter house, followed by a tour of campus. Dinner will be served at 6 and the annual Square and Compass Alumni Association meeting will be held at 7. To reserve your spot, contact John Black at 2186 N. Oak Lane/State College, PA/16803 or jwb3@psu.edu. The cost is $30 per person. Please make checks payable to Square and Compass Alumni Association. | NewsA Message from the President, Square and Compass AssociationBrothers, last month I sent you a draft copy of a new set of bylaws for our association. I was pleased and surprised with the number of you I heard from with thoughtful and constructive ideas to improve the new bylaws. I have incorporated your ideas into the draft and will send the final proposed document out in next month’s eLetter so you all will have it before the annual meeting. I will tell you now that we have decided to drop the annual dues requirement, which was a carryover from the original bylaws, and stay with our current practice of annual appeals, the most recent of which you will be receiving shortly for 2011. In your recent emails, several of you asked to see a copy of the original bylaws. You can view them by clicking on the continued link below. Note that these bylaws may be changed by a two-thirds vote of the members present at any stated meeting. Please put 16 October on your calendars for our annual meeting and get together at the House.
