<< BackThe Acacia Bonds are Still Strong, 40 Years Later!

Four members of the Class of 1970 got together for a weekend in Chicago
and attended the Penn State-Northwestern football game, where they met
Football Letter author John Black ’62 at the Alumni Association tent
before the game.
Dick Shiffer sent this note to us, along with the photo: "I’m sure
you’ll remember the photo of you with the four guys from the class of
1970 (I actually graduated in 71 though in five year program). All
four of us pledged together in the fall of ‘67 when we moved in the
house and we all became fast friends and have remained so for 40+
years. From left to right the guys are Bob Felsburg, who was our
Acacia VD in 1970 and lives in the Denver, Colorado area; Dick Shiffer
who also lives in the Denver area; John Black; Floyd McKeag, who lives
in Newburg, Indiana; and Vic Colaiaco, who lives in the Pittsburgh area
and was our Senior Dean in 1970. We all went back to the Acacia
Reunion in October of 2008 and had such a good time re-uniting that we
decided to get together again with our wives this past fall for a
weekend in Chicago and the football game at Northwestern. This October
our class will be hosting the 40th Reunion at Acacia and we’re all
planning to come back again."
