THON
"It is more important than ever to remember why we are all Penn State proud. It is imperative that we realize that the actions of a few do not reflect the student body as a whole, nor do they represent what this storied University stands for. I can tell you first hand that the student body was crushed as the recent events unfolded. I have never seen such a somber mood on campus, and throughout the whole town. However, in traditional Penn State fashion, we banded together. 10,000 of us joined on the lawn of Old Main the night of November 11th, to hold a candlelight vigil and remember the victims. The student body has also began a movement to unify all student organizations and student leaders on campus, to show the community who exactly Penn State is composed of."

A Report From the Venerable Dean Fall 2011
"As my term as Venerable Dean has come to an end, I cannot help but look back on the year and be amazed at how far this house has come. I am extremely proud of the Active Chapter for buying into many of the new initiatives that we have implemented in the house in order to make it run so much more smoothly. I would like to thank my Executive Council for a great year and give a very special thanks to the Square & Compass Board for all of the support and guidance that you have given me throughout the year. I will most certainly be staying very active in the chapter and wish to hold many more positions before I graduate."

Giving Back...
ACACIA means something different to each of us, and we all have memories that have lasted a lifetime. Spirited tailgate renditions of "We’re the Men from ACACIA,” or the soft harmonies of “Sweetheart of ACACIA,” sung to the girl you just pinned.

Celebrating another Malcolm Award at Conclave, or hoisting the Bischoff Trophy after another year of sporting excellence. Learning more about Pythagoras than you ever wanted to know, then laughing about it together years later, when you all still remember most of it.
